| Hi, in your original posting you wrote: > IDS 9.40 runs on download edition SuSE 8.1 and 8.2 after update to > glibc-2.2.5-x (< glibc -2.3.x). I'm really interested which version 'x' of SuSE 8.1 glibc-2.2.5-x (SuSE 8.2 use glibc 2.3.2) crash the kernel and whats the environment (e.g. Hyper-Threading enabled, raw devices). Did you tried update to glibc-2.2.5-165 (the original glibc-2.2.5-152 on CD was not really built for i686)? Available at ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/upd...5-165.i686.rpm Andreas Guido Stepken wrote: > >> Which version of glibc-2.2.5-x do you use? > > Difficult to say.
