| We have just started looking at 4Js new database - claims to be 100% Informix compatible (actually Oracle and others too, but we're not interested in them) , and lock free (and WELL cheap!). So far it seems to do just what it says on the tin, apart from DBDATE (US format dates only dammit). And its fast. And its fast. I wonder what IBM thinks about one of its supposed top partners advocating another db in competition with Informix. And even worse, in compettion with DB2! |
