R u getting this error while starting up the instance ?

If yes, run the following command:

$ > getprivgrp

It should show something like:
global privileges: CHOWN
informix: MLOCK

If not, then the problem is that informix user does not have MLOCK
privileges to work with Async I/O. In order to fix this problem do the
following:

1. Log in as root user
2. Create a file /etc/privgroup and then add the following line in the
file:
<groupname> MLOCK (where groupname is the group to which informix
belongs to)

3. Execute the following cmd:

$> setprivgrp -f /etc/privgroup

4. Verify whether its done it right or not.

$ > getprivgrp

Also, verify whether you are actually running out memory or not ?

Hi everybody!

we tried to increase the size of SHMVIRTSIZE
previously it was 94000 and SHMADD 8000
I tried to change SHMVIRTSIZE to 110000 and got an error...
