I had a lengthy post here which I just deleting.
One shall not post in anger. I'll end thsi thread here.
I do invite you though to try to take IBM's perspective, assume, just
for a minute, than IBM Executives are not lunatics, it just may make
sense if you try to take an unbiased view.
I also invite you to track back in google to teh time when Informix was
bought to verify your assumption in teh post are true. I think they are not.

The best part is that apparently IBM don't even give the Kool-Aid (tm) away
