Correct - purchasable HDR is only in v10.
But with maintenance you can upgrade to v10 without cost. Beware of the OS
version required for Informix v10.

Unfortunately my potential customer can't use 10.0, as the app he wishes to
use is not yet certified for it. The 9.40 option with HDR is thus more than
double the price (£75k against £35k) and makes Informix unattractive against
the opposition.
I'm sure this wasn't the intention when 9.50 became 10.0. Hopefully it will
be addressed.
