Just from a look at things... There's Rational and there's Oracle. Rational isn't a Relational Database engine. Apples to Oranges comparison. Click on the drop down under "Software" titled "Software by brand" DB2 is there. Is Informix not an IBM software brand? Where does one find Informix pricing? PS: The minimum number of seats is 5. If you need less than 5 seats consider 3x5 cards. -- Daniel A. Morgan University of Washington damorgan@x.washington.edu (replace x with u to respond) Puget Sound Oracle Users Group www.psoug.org |

I've already answered in another post, but this has to be clarified: In the same drop down box, click on "Information/Management"... You'll get a pretty flash banner showing IDS 11... A product by IBM if you're kind enough to acknowledge... Then click on Database Servers... You'll get DB2 Family, Informix Family, U2 Family (not Bonno related...) and IMS... As for the minimum seats... http://oraclestore.oracle.com/OA_HTM...ser_m inimums In Oracle Database Enterprise Edition (the same price you were comparing), I see 25 + server license... 5 is for Standard Edition... I think we all have web access... maybe some of us should put glasses on?!
