However, I do think the installation folks need to take a look at the section of the installation where you get to pick your directory for the rootdbs. That's the point where I found the smoke to really help since that's where the installation seemed to fail. Maybe too, if the marketing department would smoke a little we'd see some really good ads. ;-) -t- Jack Parker wrote: > Cool! That's useful! Tool, Datta is an IBM employee, but he is not one of the executive types. Having a customer make a complaint/suggestion in the beta forum carries far more weight than having an employee make a complaint/suggestion. | The issue was reported to the Cheetah Beta Forum and will be looked at by IBM. It would appear that they were glad to recieve the input, a small fee for being able to play with the new engine for free before it is officially released. -------- Thank you for taking the time to post this issue. I acknowledge that this is a problem with the installer. As a member of the IDS Install Development Team, I will ensure that we look into it right away. We greatly value your input. Please do not hesitate to post more of your issues or ideas. Regards, Paul-John A. You don't understand, do you? IBM places no value on input from employees.. It only places value on input from customers. I've been amazed that when I've spoken to my "friends in high places" in IBM how little influence they have compared to the lowliest customer. Such as myself. -- Bye now, Obnoxio "I'm astonished anyone pays real money for this crap." -- Cosmo -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by OpenProtect(http://www.openprotect.com), and is believed to be clean. |

As a contractor in the past I wasn't even sure if they knew who I was! "Oh, you? Do you work here?" -t- |

Or me! Sad, but so.
