I've not heard of such problems, which isn't to say they aren't real.
When you say the 'system hung' (in strict British English, 'hanged'
was reserved for capital punishment), do you mean that ISA refused to
respond, or IDS refused to respond, or SCO UNIX refused to respond?
It is far from obvious what would cause any of these - but obviously,
if SCO refuses to respond, that's a lot more serious than if just ISA
refuses to respond.
