I've always worked on the basis that OS or hardware mirroring
ofers better performance than Informix mirroring, but at the
same time always set your dbspaces up with mirroring enables (1)
but don't specify a mirrored chunk path. It takes no overhead
and offers an alternative 'get-out' route (where you could
add a mirror chunk) in the event of some problems.
