There is every chance that the 32-bit version of IDS 9.40.TC2 will not run
on Windows XP64. It certainly is not a platform on which we've run the QA,
AFAIK (I could be wrong, but the direct Windows-64 port is still in progress
when I last looked at a report on the subject). If it runs, it runs in some
sort of compatibility mode, and IDS gets more intimate with the o/s than the
average program, so any tiny differences could account for the problem.
