Support responded that sometimes the o/s requires this path. And when it does, it is necessary to add the informix libs to it. I wonder if it has something to do with EMC - that was the only thing in LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64.

When I was running 9.4FC5 on Solaris 9 I don't remember having to use
LD_LIBRARY_PATH_64. Did support give you any explanation why the new
*_64 library variable was needed?
