| Just to clarify, The so called bitter techie referred to here,, is actually part owner, and head developer in as small private company, (i.e.. the real decision-maker). We provide TURN KEY Billing and Directory Systems. Our clients are medium to large size government, education and private companies. In most cases the client isn't aware and doesn't care what the underling DB is. In the cases that do question the DB used, it is invariably asked of us, "why do I have to by Informix Runtime licenses, can't we use the MSSQL DB we already have!". In 18 years in Development I have Never been asked, "does your product work on DB2?".
