You are running into PTS 168163, 171156, 173853, 174185

Basic reason for 168163:
Impact Statement:
Allows operations between dissimilar code sets therefore it is
likely that data corruption will ensue.

After the fix, user would get -23197 if DB_LOCALE mismatch is found. There
are many types of scenarios and also your scenario, users have run into..

One example is:
http://www-03.ibm.com/developerworks...e_with_locales

The above gives a temporary solution:
one can set the IDS server environment variable IFMX_UNDOC_B168163 to 1..

Expectation:
Always make sure that you set DB_LOCALE to the value with which database
was created before connecting or doing any operations with it.

Thanks and Regards,
Gaurav

hi..

I wanna create a trigger on to update a table in a normal database if a
table in another multilingual database is updated.

Source database -> Inofrmix 9.4 (DB_LOCALE=EN_US.UTF8)
Sink database -> Inofrmix 9.3 (DB_LOCALE=EN_UTF.819)

The problem while creating the trgger is following:
23197: Database locale information mismatch.

CREATE TRIGGER tran_trigger
INSERT ON cns_vc@ifx940fc6w1:test_2
REFERENCING NEW as new
FOR EACH ROW (
insert into test_vc@ifx930_2vb:test values(new.a)
);

Pls suggest some way out!!!

Thanks in advance !
Vratesh
