No Dirk,
Most of the tables had no rows when update statistics was run. It makes
for a fast update statistics. And anyway, it seems that with UPDATE
STATISTICS MEDIUM we are getting one distribution for every column in
every table that has more than 1 row in it. It seems very fast compared
with the UPDATE STATISTICS scripts produced by ISA.

Every day this company runs UPDATE STATISTICS MEDIUM on the whole
database. There are about 1700 tables in the database. But when I
check in sysdistrib I can only find records for about 230 tables.

Oh, and you've guessed it - they are cmplaining about performance.
