Try increase the temp dbspace size if you have configured dbspaces under
DBSPACETEMP.
(or)
if not, increase the file system size of /tmp
and try running the update stats high command.

This error occurs due to lack of temp dbspace space.

Informix/IBM administrations manuals are the best resources for every bit
of information. You can find the
online books under www.ibm.com - web site

When I try to execute update statistics high, I get the following
error :

Database selected.

564: Cannot sort rows.

179: ISAM error: no free disk space for sort

Database closed.

I use cron, with the user root to schedule it.

Informix Version : 9.30 UC1.

I also want to know if there is any good book about informix database
administration.

Can somebody help me ?
