Default RE: User CPU usage on Red Hat Linux Enterprise 3 Server

With Informix this is normal. On all my Informix systems, if they are
busy, the user cpu is always very high. Even the opsys guys have
queried me on this (raising there eyebrows).

Not something to worry about.

Subject: User CPU usage on Red Hat Linux Enterprise 3 Server

Hi all,

The Informix Dynamic Server 9.4 FC3 is on Red Hat Linux Enterprise
Server 3 on HP Itanium machine, with 4 CPU's and 4 GB ram.

On starting the Informix Database server, and accessing the Database
from the Application, which is on Tru64 machine, the maximum CPU usage
is seen at User area.

Would like to have some information with respect to the above
scenario. We would like to bring the usage of User CPU to an average
level.

Kindly provide us with relavent information,

Thanks and regards,
Arvind.
