onmode -s brings the server to single user mode and all that you asked for.

I know you can create raw tables in XPS that are non-logged and bypasses all
the overhead and locking logic and will be recorded in systables. It would
be nice to have that option in IDS.

the administrator still has the ability to manipulate the database;
