I will duck for the tomatoe throwing now.... Exactly. Do I know when a new release of Oracle comes out.... without going to look? No. There is a tiny tiny percentage of the 'public' that even knows what an RDBMS is; a public blitz would be pointless waste of money. IBM *DID* do a public blitz for LINUX, at least in the USA. But primarily to get suits to connect the term "LINUX" with IBM ( = "Serious stuff"). Notice they didn't include anything specific in that blitz; just "LINUX is good". That is probably as deep and as specific as a "public blitz" can go. This is just another excuse for people who like to bitch to bitch. That and the product has been out like a week? |
