| there are a number of enhancements in my list which help the sites with no dba, eg add a chunk when the first chunk is full, no libaries in /usr/lib The benefits for every site will be different but there must be a fw on the list. Performance isn;t the only think I put in the list. |

Yes, there *are* a lot of good things in your list (assuming you are also wcottishpoet:-)). They are really features, rather than benefits. But they *are* good things. Are they enough to persuade the average user to pay a hefty uplift for? |

"Definded" indeed! Let alone one or two odd bits of grammar (even for a bullet list), and odd spacing, and ... The slide puts each phrase onto the screen, slowly, highlight the current phrase and then fading a bit. Quite pretty, annoyingly slow. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/ |

| neil asked the question "why move to 9 if you don't want your own datatypes" This list contains a host of reasons. OK its from a powerpoint presentation and it has few grammer problems. I wasn't going to post the 6Mb worth of powerpoint presentation that more of the detail behind this. if anyone wants to come to Bedfont I'd be happy to present it to them. maybe the UK User gorup could have this at their next meeting?
