| Greetings all, Before I start digging into this, I want to check and see if this is a known issue. I am setting up a new 9.40.FC6 on AIX 5.2.0 on an H80. I have a small database that we use on our current setup, which is an IDS 7.31.UC7 on AIX 4.3.3 on an identical H80, that I use for testing. Basically, I used my existing onconfig from the 7.31 IDS as a starting onconfig for the 9.40 IDS. Everything appears to work just fine except the dbexport of this small (3.5 Meg) database. It takes over 6 minutes to export the database, yet it takes only 20 seconds for the dbimport. Normally, I would expect these times to be the other way around. On my current system, the dbexport takes under 1 minute and the dbimport take about 2 minutes, which has been fairly consistent and seems rather normal. Any ideas on why the 9.40 dbexport takes so long while the dbimport runs so much faster? Thanks in advance, Tom |

| There are also some slow index build issues if the box does not have enough memory for sorts. I do not know if that is what you are running into, but we did. 9.4 seems to want more memory than 7.31 almost everywhere.
