We are in the process of bringing online a new Informix installation (current plan is 9.4 on AIX 5.1L.) I wanted to see if anyone had any input on the following questions:

1) What would be some recommendations/experience regarding stripe sizes for RAID 10 arrays?

2) Is anyone running Informix 9.2x or 9.4x series engines on AIX 5.1 or 5.2? Any gotchas to be careful of?

3) Is anyone running Informix 9.2x or 9.4x series engines on a FastT storage array? What type of storage setup do you have and how did you arrive at it?

Just a comment on this one. IDS runs better with very small stripe sizes.
Less than 64K is good, 16K seems best most of the times I've tested it. Yes I
know the vendor's filesystem benchmarks show sizes of 128K and even 256K
perform best, but IDS is not a filesystem.
