Default Looking for ABF

Just downloaded the Ingres 2006 Community Edition for Windows, but can not
find a way to start ABF, nor any of the forms-based tools.
I did select Vision in the installation options.

Matti

You should be able to just say "abf" in a command prompt window,
assuming it's there at all.

Just too obvious - thanks.
Now , I have to define ING_ABFDIR.
Setup script used to ask for it, but not now.
I'm sure it's in some document, but I'm just too lazy, and you guys
are just too good and quick with the anwers for me to bother , so please ...

Matti

ps. Any Finns still follow this group?

It should have been set by the installer. Is this 9.2.0 by any chance? I've
just checked my 9.2.0 installation and it hasn't got ING_ABFDIR set either.

You can do it manually by

1) creating a directory "abf" under %II_SYSTEM%\ingres

2) ingsetenv ING_ABFDIR %II_SYSTEM%\ingres\abf

Matti,

Kimi Räikkönen, but right now he is busy
with that "Formula 1" thing he does on the side.

;-)
