Hi all,

At my workplace we have a number of Java Workstation w2100z machines.
One or two of them display the message "02F9: Machine Check error in
BSP" when booting from powered-off (although not on warm boot). Past
experience of "machine check errors" is pretty bad, can anyone tell me
what's up and (if possible) how I go about remedying this?

Install the latest BIOS upgrade listed here:

http://www.sun.com/desktop/workstati.../downloads.jsp

The latest is R01-B5 S1 on the 2.5 CD.
See under the 2.3 CD where your problem is first addressed in BIOS B4S4.
