| Anyone know if a Sun Ultra 5/10/etc. running Solaris can use an Adaptec PCI SCSI card (spec. AHA-2940 series)? Sun lists support for the cards for Solaris/x86, but no mention for Solaris. Thanks, TW -- Using M2, Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/m2/ |

There have been special versions that contained OpenFirmware. These modells have an -OF appended to their modell name. AHA-2940UW-OF, AHA-3940UW-OF single-ended SCSI AHA-2944UW-OF, AHA-3944UW-OF differential SCSI (=HVD) Support for these cards was dropped (by Adaptec, Sun never supplied drivers for these cards) after Solaris 2.6 SPARC.
