Default can I mix CPU speeds on Ultra 2?

Hello!

I got an Ultra 2 with 300 MHz UltraSparc II.
If I want a second CPU, can I use a 400 or 450 MHz or do I have to stick on
300 MHz?

Thanks,
Mike

You have to stick to 300 MHz; mixed speeds are not supported.

Same speed only, mixed speeds are only supported in some machine which
are all not longer sold.
Actualy, only supported in ultrasparc3 systems without CU processors.

I have seen things you lusers would not believe.
I've seen Sun monitors on fire off the side of the multimedia lab.
I've seen NTU lights glitter in the dark near the Mail Gate.
All these things will be lost in time, like the root partition last
week. Time to die.

No, you cannot. I believe that the only systems where mixing CPU
speeds was possible (but not supported) were the SuperSparc based
systems. I also don't think that you can use a 450MHz processor in an
Ultra 2. To my knowledge 400MHz was the max.
