| Hi, We have recently bought a surplus Storedge T3 and would lilke to add it to our IMAP mail server (Dual 450Mhz Netra T1125 with Solaris9) which slowly gets too slow handling tens of thousands of messages. The problem is: Our T3 comes with DB9 copper FC-AL interface, while all official FC-AL cards from sun have optical connectors. AFAIK now we have two choices: a) Add a Copper to SC optical media converter to the link. b) Use a "Non Sun" FCAL HBA such as QLogic QLA2200/66 with HSSDC interface. I am kind of thorn between two options, on one hand I do not like having some media converters on a link, on another having a non-sun QLA2200 will require usage of "not official" drivers. I would be thankful if someone with identical setup would share his expierences. It comes with every T3. So you should ask your supplier to send one to you for free. HTH, Axel Neumann |

What you need is: http://store.sun.com/CMTemplate/CESe...ferrer=ssh_buy The original responder was correct that every T3A shipped with a MIA and your supplier should have included one. It's worth a call to the supplier as the worst they can say is "no." Elias |
