 DB9 to RJ45 Hello I am trying to connect my cisco router console port to my IBM T23, bu couldn't get it to work Here is my pinouts - what am I doing wrong RJ45 DB9 Com Por DCD 1 --------------------- 1 DC DSR 2 --------------------- 6 DS DTR 3 --------------------- 4 DT S/GND 4 --------------------- 5 S/GN TXD 5 --------------------- 2 RX RXD 6 --------------------- 3 TX CTS 7 --------------------- 8 CT RTS 8 --------------------- 7 RT Thanks for your help Ab2      |

But your RJ45 pinout is all wrong for the Cisco layout. Google something like 'site:cisco.com console pinout' |
