| Hi, I am looking at upgrading the memory on my SB1K with 2GB kits (4 x 512MB DIMMs). I notice that there are two different Sun part numbers, X7051A & X7062A. What is the difference between the two? Does the latter supersede the former, and if so what are the advantages? Have looked at sunsolve, and NG archives but didn't come up with anything. Thanks and regards, Andrew |

The X7062A costs less than the X7051A. However, the X7062A cannot be used in the Sun Fire servers and the X7051A can. For the Sun Blade workstations there is no point in buying the more expensive memory. The performance and reliability are the same. Elias |
