| i acquired a sun 80 pin fujitsu drive to put in the seconf slot in an ultra 1. to my surprise, it didn't fit the rails for inserting the second rive. i propped it up, and it works just fine. how do i tell if an 80pun scsi drive will fit those rails? is there some sort of piece which locks the drive into place, similar to the one on the first drive in slot 0? if so, where do i find that piece. or else, are there shims which make smaller drives fit? -- getting out of bed in the morning is an act of false confidence - jules feifer to email me, delete blackhole. from my return address |

P/N is 540-3024, called a spud bracket. Look on ebay for it. |

The drive requires a "spud" bracket to fit correctly. Search for "sun spud" on ebay. You can find plenty there. Here is an example : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9826 265&rd=1 Steve |
