| Hi there, I have a quick questions for the experts. My SB1K's Solaris 10 install is set with Kernel Cage eneabled... I was looking up on documents about this, and only found mention of DR Kernel Cage. Is it the same thing? If so, then why would I need that on a workstation with probably no "live" swapable components? I read in one of the forums, opensolaris I think, that DR Kernal Cage would probably slow the machine down, and actually disable memory interleaving... So, should I disable it? I have been unable to put 8GB of RAM in this machine (heck, even 6GB) and I'm wondering if this Kernal Cage wouldn't be the cause (far fetched, and probably unrelated , but you never know)... What do you guys suggest? |
