| trip over itself trying to predict whether and when AMD's x86-64 will
| be adopted by Apple, IBM, Sun, and other hardware vendors. This is a
| testament to how interconnect is so wholly undervalued, because Apple,
| IBM, Sun, and many other vendors licensed HyperTransport for their
| non-x86 designs, not so much x86-64 itself (although Sun is porting
| Solaris to x86-64). HyperTransport solves issues for non-PC platforms
| as much as for the PC.

Hopefully we'll see announcements about the 8-way, "Gallaxy?"
