Upon closer inspection it does appear to be 1.0, however it also has the
following qualifier; Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; rv:1.7.3).

ahem - I think the point that I was trying to make was that the
interactive visual presentation enhances the raw statistics that are
also presented for the edification of the numerically minded ;-)

It might be that firefox retains the revision number from its mozilla
parent.

I was in your camp until the past year or so, after I've finally
seen a small handful of useful applications.

CNN's election results site is one of them.

But again, I highly recommend a advertising suppressing proxy.

To keep this marginally on topic, I'm viewing the above site
with mozilla and flash player 6 on Solaris x86.

I don't exactly consider Sun Microsystems a stranger. OTOH I do consider
CNN and their contractors as such.
