| I just got 2 new 9gb drives for my SS20. I would like to install Solaris 9 on this system in a mirrored setup. Have downloaded the CD's from SUN. I do not see anything about setting up the mirror during the install. Is this something you do after? Can someone point me to the correct docs? Thanks! |

| Thanks for the links. I have read thru them however it does not say where to get the software from? Is it a package on one of the Solaris 9 disc? Thanks! General idea would be to install everything in one disk, one partition (at least for this example since everything would be in just one place) and then run the program and tell it to use disk 2 as mirror of disk 1. I am probably missing a lot of important steps here but that is the general idea for raid1 in Solaris. > > > On 4/27/04 6:57 PM, in article 108u3s2ff1t8438@corp.supernews.com, "Elias" > <nospam@charter.net> wrote: > > > Sean wrote: > > > >> I just got 2 new 9gb drives for my SS20. | Solaris 9 includes Solstice Disksuit package as default during installation. You can simply use this software to make mirror or Raid device using metadevice. You can reference http://docs.sun.com/db/doc/806-3205 to see how to start working on with Solstice Disksuit. I wish it could help to solve your problem. Thanks. Youngjin Kim GSHiis, Inc.
