I hope someone can help me or tell me what information I need to
provide.

I recently purchased a fujitsu MAA3182SCX. It appears to be formatted
with 516 byte sectors. I used sformat to attempt to reformat the
drive and got the following result, and another error when I try with
515 byte sectors:

Can anyone smarter than me give me a clue?

for what it is worth, i have had poor success in reformatting wrong
sector sized drives except using solaris 2.5.1. solaris 6,7 and 8
all didn't work well. i can't explain it. this is with sdformat on an
old sparc2 running 2.5.1 which i keep around for this sort of work.
