| I have this S buss card that has ethernet connector that is a small 14 pin d connector. Is that for token ring or can I get a cable to connect a standard ethernet device. The SCSI connector is ( I think) a standard SCSI port. I would like to have another ethernet link from this Sparc 20. I have done some searches but so far have found nothing Thanks Bill K7NOM |

It has a standard RJ45 jack for ethernet and a 50 pin micro D scsi connector. Are you sure that part number is what you have ? P. -- pir pir-sig@pir.net pir-sig@net.tufts.edu |

This card has a 14 pin connector for Ethernet but you need an adapter to connect it to a standard network. HTH, Axel Neumann |

From the URL I gave you above; ] Notes ] ] 1. Use Adapter Cable 530-1812 for 10BASE5 Ethernet. ] 2. Use Adapter Cable 530-1813 for 10BASE-T Ethernet. It's likely to be easier/cheaper to get a FSBE/S card (501-2015 or 501-2981) than to find that adaptor cable. The user's guide (pointed to from the reference section of that URL) has a pinout for the connector so you might be able to make a cable if you can find a plug that fits it (it's just breaking out 4 connections to RJ45). http://sunsolve.sun.com/data/800/800...l/newSBEC.html P. -- pir pir-sig@pir.net pir-sig@net.tufts.edu |

I will look up the connections and make a cable. I found a cable that adapts the 14 pin connector to a 9 bin D connector so I can take off the 9 pin and put on a RJ45 or something. Now to look up the pin connections. Thanks for the help. Bill K7NOM |
