| Hello from Gregg C Levine Exactly how accurate are the requirements for Solaris 10? I have here the "Big Box" it contains a group of CDs, and a group of DVDs. Also an early release kit for Solaris 10. And a set of CDs for Solaris 9, and a copy of it on DVD. All X86 variety. The big box insists that the absolute minimum for space is 12 Gig. I was able to install a some what working system, using VMware into a disk image that would be 4.3 Gig. While it behaved stranger then a zone created on a Sun box, regarding networking, it did work. I have here a 6.4 Gig disk for a Dell Optiplex system. Would any of you good people have an idea if I can install Solaris 10 there, and at least be able to do something? The 10 Gig generic one, is currently occupied for something else. -- Gregg drwho8 atsign att dot net "This space is reserved for the Wookiee speaking signature." |
