Heh, that was funny. I had the same problem on 2 Ultra 1s It reaches the point of keymap/country and if you try to pass UK keymap/London it just freezes for ever. (Im using a UK type 5 btw) Im not a linux newbie and i would be quite happy to dive into the code but YAST belongs to SuSE and its code is closed So i said ok.. i'll pass now the us keymap to get over the installation and come back later on to change it. Finished installation.. came back.. found the right module for my keyboard.. tried to load it.. guess what? FROZE again Even MORE frustrating is the thing that it actually happened again with a redbug but the relevant lines show that it ONLY locates the appropriate module and modprobes it. (yeap the module exists and i even tried a custom setup of static parameters to avoid the probe) no luck Guess we'll both have to live with it for now.. If you come up with a workaround drop a line in the group. I know at least one person that would much appreciate it. I bet ther'e others. nm |
