| Hi All, Having been critical of the situation where Solaris x86 is the poor relation running on the Opteron workstations when it comes to HW accelarated OpenGL, I'm happy to report that according to a press release today, Sun and Nvidia have partnered to tune and optimise OpenGL running on Nvidia Quadro cards in the w1100z and w2100z and future workstations. Nifty. Chris -- Chris Morgan "Post posting of policy changes by the boss will result in real rule revisions that are irreversible" - anonymous correspondent |

Another nail in the penguin's coffin... :-) That's a fairly feeble nail, as Linux already has Nvidia's proprietary binary only driver modules for their cards, and has done for several years now. The performance is pretty amazing (and massively better than nvidia hardware performance with any open-source drive solution).
