Default SparcServer 330 boot video problem part 2

I rescued a SparcServer 330 from a dumpster and I'm trying to get it
running again. Basically, I have connected a Sun monitor, a Sun
keyboard and mouse. The machine powers up but I get no video. I do not
have the ethernet or SCSI port hooked up but usually these are not
necessary
to get the EPROM boot message. I looked through the SUN FAQ and the
only
related topic I found was the one suggesting to connect the video after
60 sec
following powering up the unit which still failed to fix the problem. I
pulled
the cards and as far as I can see they look ok, ie. the memory simms
are
there and no visible fried or missing components.

The LED diag display shows some activity but I have no info as to its
meaning.
Is it possible that the display port is simply disabled?
My next move is to hook up a serial port as suggest in my last post.

Any ideas/suggestions anyone? I'm hoping to fix the unit after almost
breaking my back carrying it down to my basement... I mean server room.

Thanks.
