| hi folks, the current status for the sun 3/80 looks like this: terminal now running on serial port 1, connected to a windows xp system which can be access by vnc (sun 3/80 owners who can help me) i found out, that the exact problem seems to be that the sun 3/80 does not accepts the input for fedfa7d8 to fedfa7e7. if i do a "o fedfa7d8", enter "01", press "ctrl+c" and than enter "o fedfa7d8" i donīt get "01" like it should be, i get "FF" like when calling "o fedfa7d8" the first time. NO POWEROFF in between! maybe i have to set the time and the date to change the mac address and hostid to a working state? an ohter strange point is, that if i enter "m a fedfa000" and then "33FA500" somethinge it works and some times the systems seems to hangup! i know that there must be a (small) diffenerce between a working turn and a non working one, but i canīt find that difference. PLZ HELP! this wounderful machine has to run :-) THX a lot! David |
