| Hello! Wouldn't it be interesting to see performance comparison of Sun hardware based on AMDs vs. USs. For example, taking two machines of approximately the same price (e.g. a $31595 V40z and a $30995 V440), which one is more powerful? Performance metrics could include stuff like the number of Apache HTTP requests served per time unit, some DB stuff etc. Not artificial benchmarks that would merely show the difference in architecture. Are there any such reviews available? |

I have a feeling that, when it comes to entry level servers (i.e. up to the number of processors that amd64 supports), amd64 platform provides more powerful option. |
