| I am in the process of restoring to service an old sun 3/280. I've been searching Google looking for where I can find things like patches to enable DNS. All my searches end pointing to something called the Sun 3 Archive at http://sun3arc.org, however this link doesn't seem to resolve to anything anymore. Does anyone know what became of this archive and where I could find it, or where I can find the SunOS patches to go from 4.1.1 to 4.1.1_U1 and patch # 100267-09? I've tried sunsolve, google, and have come up dry. Thanks in advance. Bob Healey |

I've tried sunsolve, google, and have come up dry. I *might* be able to help with SunOS 4.1.1_U1, but I don't think I have 100267-09... -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA, author of "Solaris Systems Programming" President, Rite Online Inc. Enjoy your old Sun! I really need to ask around if someone has one available, especially the ones in the pizza box chassis (3/60,3/80) which were the first Suns I used, back in my school days... Drop me a note if you get it running - gmike@tezro.grex.org (tezro should be removed in order to e-mail me). Cheers! Michael |

Drop me a >note if you get it running - Note that the 3/80 is a sun3x (MC68030) machine, not a sun3 (MC68020). It requires a different version of SunOs 4.1.1 -- although the patches to SunOs 4.1.1_U1 work for both, IIRC.
