| I'd appreciate anyones suggestions for larger capacity tape drives (preferably Sun badged) for an E450 running Solaris2.6. Currently fitted is DDS3. Would a DAT72 drive work? I don't mind if it's external. Any and all suggestions gratefully received. Thanks, Andy Lennard. |

| Just about any SCSI tape drive can be made to work with Solaris, you just need to create entries for it in the st.conf file. So you're not limited to Sun's offerings, FWIW. If you were interested in Sony AIT drives, for example, Sony has a .PDF with the settings required for the st.conf. Looks like the Sun offerings (for single, standalone tape drives) are DDS-4, DAT72, SuperDLT320, or LTO-2. good luck, Jonathan "Andy Lennard" <ck_karisma@SCRUB-THIS.hotmail.com> wrote in message news:c7nbpd$ql4$1@sparta.btinternet.com... > I'd appreciate anyones suggestions for larger capacity tape drives > (preferably Sun badged) for an E450 running Solaris2.6.
