| I purchased an old U10 with erased disk for my home network that I want to jumpstart from my Blade 100. Turning power on it showed the commonly known error messages 1. IDPROM contents are invalid 2. Internal loopback test -- Did not receive expected loopback packet I studied the "Squirrel NVRAM site", what worries me is that the Host ID and Ethernet address are valid and remain the same even when the machine is turned off for weeks, so I assume the NVRAM battery is still okay. I reprogrammed the NVRAM so the first message disappeared but the second still shows up upon a "boot net". My network switch reports an established link. Is there still something wrong with the NVRAM, do I need a replacement? Uwe |
