It depends very much on 1) how optimized the mplayer code is for the SPARC and 2) how well your graphics device and its drivers handles video. I think a UltraSPARC at 270 is about as fast as a Celeron 366 mhz and i have played DivX on such a CPU without problems (mplayer & linux). -- Lasse Jensen [fafler at linuxmail dot org] |
