| I have an Ultra 10 that boots fine and I have no issues with using the keyboard with Solaris. During the boot however the machine reports "loadkeys: ioctl(KIOCLAYOUT): Timer expired". This isn't a problem until I try to boot to single user mode, where the prompt for the root password appears. It seems as if at this point the keyboard is autorepeating every key press dozens of times, and I therefore can't enter the root password to get into the mode. I note that when the machine was first loaded with Solaris 2.9, there was a similar issue with regard to answering the prompt about auto shutdown that occurs on the first boot. Any ideas? I've tried two different Sun keyboards of different vintages both known to work OK on other Suns e.g. Sparcstations..... |
