I'm considering buyting a Ultra 80. Looking at suinsolve I see that
the Ultra 80 does not support the 128mb DIMM (X7004A) that are supported by
the Ultra 60. I hav 2gb of X7004A'a in an ultra 60 that I'd like to
transfer to the Ultra 80 if I buy it. Seems hard to fathom that the Ultra 80
won't work with iths memory in it.

I've seen an Ultra 60 with the 480mhz CPU in it although it's not
supported, but it does work. I

Has anyone tried placing the X7004A 128mb DIMM's in an Ultra 80?

If so what was your experience?

I forget the codes, but I have tried 128MB DIMMs out of an Ultra 2 and
it does not work, unfortunatley the U80 is doing important things so I
can't fiddle with settings to see if I can get it to work.

I'd be interested to hear of any success, I've got 1 GB of RAM just
waiting around to go into something!
