Yes. As far as "finally", the time between GA release of the V440 and
Solaris 9 supporting it was only about a month.

I received my V440s late August, when they began shipping ( and I'm half-way
across the world from the US!). Had to install Sol 8 07/03. Couldn't get
hold of Solaris 9 12/03 until the first couple of days of January.

The handbook though seems to insist that the FCS date for the V440 was
October 2003.

The shipments in August were very limited. The V440 was only (officially)
announced on September 17th, and only went into general availibility (GA)
in early November.

Solaris 9 12/03 was made available for download mid/late December, although
the CD's were not released until early Jan.
