| Hey; Assuming no major kernel accesses, can I compile a Iplanet plugin on a D390 (HPUX 11.00/64bit) and run it on a L3000-5x (HPUX 11.00/64bit)? Thanks. Yes, assuming that the iPlanet binary running on the L3000-5X was compiled on 11.0. You will want to match the bitness of the iPlanet binary, which you can get via file(1m). The default on the D390 will be to produce a 32-bit PA 2.0 binary. IIRC, one can mix 32-bit 1.1 and 2.0 into the same executable (running binary image). rick jones -- Process shall set you free from the need for rational thought. these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... feel free to post, OR email to raj in cup.hp.com but NOT BOTH... |

Yes, but one can not run the resulting Heniz 57 executable on a PA 1.1 machine. -- Jim Hollenback jholly@cup.hp.com my opinion. |
