Default D390->L3000 compile?

Hey;

Assuming no major kernel accesses, can I compile a Iplanet plugin
on a D390 (HPUX 11.00/64bit) and run it on a L3000-5x (HPUX 11.00/64bit)?

Thanks.

Doug

Yes, assuming that the iPlanet binary running on the L3000-5X was
compiled on 11.0. You will want to match the bitness of the iPlanet
binary, which you can get via file(1m). The default on the D390 will
be to produce a 32-bit PA 2.0 binary. IIRC, one can mix 32-bit 1.1
and 2.0 into the same executable (running binary image).

these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway...

Yes, but one can not run the resulting Heniz 57 executable on a PA 1.1
machine.
