Hi,
The volume group does not have much space. I increased the space
for that logical volume to 400M. But if i need to add more temp space,
how is that done? Can i create another logical volume mounted on /tmp1
?

If you have free phisical drive space you should be able to expand the
current volume. If you have another disk with available space then you
certainly can create another lvol and mount under a different path such
as /tmp1. Just make sure you can unmount the volume that you are going
to modify.
